Friends members are invited to private views of Gloucester Cathedral's exhibitions. Previous years have included Crucible 1 and 2, and Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon and Gaia.

The Friends often hold seasonal events, such as Christmas parties and concerts, music recitals, summer gatherings and a new members' welcome evening.
Each year the Friends host an exclusive event for all their members which includes a recital by the Cathedral’s internationally renowned choirs, refreshments and a special Evensong for those who wish to attend.
