Experience a unique and inspiring school trip at Gloucester Cathedral

Gloucester Cathedral is an exciting and stimulating place to visit for students of all ages. Our simple aim is to bring learning to life, providing fun and informative experiences for all of the learners who walk through our doors.

Our workshops and resources are rooted in both the curriculum and the Cathedral’s heritage as a centre of worship, culture and community. All workshops include all-day entry to the Cathedral, an expert led workshop, and related resources.

All workshops run 10am-12pm or 12:30pm-2:30pm. They can be extended by booking two slots (10am-2:30pm) - these can be the same workshop or two separate ones.

Sixth Form Conference 22 October 2024

Are you currently attending sixth form? Interested in Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Theology? Hoping to pursue it at a higher or further education level?

Then join us for a Sixth Form Conference at Gloucester Cathedral on 22 October, where we will explore both A-Level Philosophy and Religion content and higher-level academic debates, with experts on hand and the Cathedral open for them to explore.

The day will include talks and panel discussions from expert theologians and scientists including keynote speaker Professor Andrew Davison. Professor Davison is perhaps the world’s most prominent theological writer on life beyond Earth. He will give us a tour of the science, talk about the surprisingly long history of Christian writing on the topic, and discuss some of the ways in which thinking about astrobiology gives us fresh angles on ancient Christian themes.

Students and teachers will also be given the chance to explore the Mars installation during their time at the Cathedral.
